SPECIAL MEETING

JUNE 28, 2023

 

 

 

Carma Burns President of the City Council opened the Special meeting at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was stated by all present. Roll call was taken, and the following members were absent, Mayor Rob Lessen and Bob Lauck. The City Attorney was also absent.

 

Carma Burns opened the Special meeting stating the reason for this meeting is to discuss the up coming 2024 Budget and how the Council should handle funds. Gary Pommier announced that in 2024 the Social Security Administration will be raising the "cost of living" to 3.2% and no lower than 2.7%.

 

The council reviewed the 2023 Budget Worksheet by line item to determine whether to raise or leave the amounts as they appear. Carma Burns brought up purchasing an 8' x 12' shed to place the dog food that is currently stored in the back room.

 

Bette Lessen will gather information from different line items for the Council to review at the next Special Meeting scheduled for July 26th beginning at 6:00 p.m.

 

Gary Pommier made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 p.m. Richard Kerley seconds the motion. The motion was approved.
